AFC Wimbledon Foundation

by devadmin | Jan 12, 2024

MidexPRO and AFC Wimbledon Foundation are working together to help increase the local employment opportunities, prevent social exclusion, and improve mental & physical health in the boroughs of Merton, Wandsworth, and Kingston.

The Foundation is linked to the football club and uses its facilities and outreach programs to encourage the local community to engage with those living in the most disadvantaged parts of that community.

They have three Pillars of which MidexPRO will be supporting two of them. The Active Youth Pillar and Active Ageing Pillar.

⚽️ We were proud to sponsor Exeter City vs AFC Wimbledon match on Monday 29th December 2025 ⚽️

Our Managing Director Gary, alongside Arsen Dorozhynskyi, had the honour of walking the match ball from the tunnel to the centre circle ahead of kick-off. A special moment made even more meaningful as Arsen was presented with our Youth Achievement Award back in May at AFC Wimbledon’s Foundation Awards Night.

Active Youth sessions will be planned all year round and held at Plough Lane make it free to help improve young people’s physical health, encourage disadvantaged children to be included in activity including throughout the summer holidays where children can enjoy activities and enjoy a hot meal. Active Ageing sessions will encourage better interaction to reduce loneliness in the 65+ age group. Offering gentle exercise, join quiz and bingo events, and encourage socialising to reduce anxiety and build self-esteem. Improve the lives of older people — AFC Wimbledon Foundation 💛💙

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with a great well-thought-out plan to include the community within the Football club’s strategy. The final pillar is to encourage sports participation for women and girls. This is supported already by Wimbledon Tennis Foundation and will itself offer more opportunities to young girls and women to play sport.

In May 2025, we were honoured to be the main sponsor of the Foundation’s very first awards presentation — a special evening celebrating the outstanding efforts of individuals making a difference in their communities.

Our Managing Director, Gary Parker, was invited to present the Youth Achievement Award. This proud moment reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting young people.

We look forward to bringing you more information and examples of impact in the community as our partnership continues. @AFCW_Foundation
