For the past two years, MidexPRO has proudly supported AFC Wimbledon FC Community Foundation through physical donations or merchandise.
They recently held an awards ceremony to recognise outstanding achievements within their volunteer base, as well as the thousands of people in Wimbledon and the surrounding areas who have gone above and beyond to support their community, averaging 3,500 people weekly.
MD Gary and I were invited to give an award for the Youth Achievement and we were only too happy to agree. We took along Nathan and Dan from the office who have both been to AFC Wimbledon FC to support a charity match raising funds for the foundation. They have seen first hand how funds given to support the Foundation, can make huge social impacts to areas in London where there is deprivation, loneliness and lack of inclusion.
Sports presenter Faye Carruthers hosted this wonderful event, where five awards were presented to extremely deserving individuals.
We are particularly proud of the award we gave to Arsen Dorozhynskyi who came to England two years ago from the Ukraine. He and his mother had to navigate a new language and home on top of the emotions felt relating to the ongoing war.
Arsen has shone. He has great footballing skills, made a huge impression on the coaches who run the various football sessions held weekly and on top of all of this, learnt to speak English brilliantly.
Having met him and his mum, we couldn’t be prouder of all his achievements and wish him all the very best.
There is a real sense of giving back at MidexPRO and it’s been a part of our DNA since Gary took over the company some 11 years ago.
We are all very grateful for the support you, our clients, give us when we raise funds, and we know that the money goes to other amazing causes, and that’s very important to us.
Here are some images from the night.

MidexPRO and AFC Wimbledon Foundation are working together to help increase the local employment opportunities, prevent social exclusion, and improve mental & physical health in the boroughs of Merton, Wandsworth, and Kingston.
The Foundation is linked to the football club and uses its facilities and outreach programs to encourage the local community to engage with those living in the most disadvantaged parts of that community.
They have three Pillars of which MidexPRO will be supporting two of them. The Active Youth Pillar and Active Ageing Pillar.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with a great well-thought-out plan to include the community within the Football club’s strategy. The final pillar is to encourage sports participation for women and girls. This is supported already by Wimbledon Tennis Foundation and will itself offer more opportunities to young girls and women to play sport.
We look forward to bringing you more information and examples of impact in the community as our partnership continues. @AFCW_Foundation
