CloudRx is a great example of such a partnership. This digital prescription feature allows the MidexPRO User the ability to create and send electronic prescriptions to the CloudRx pharmacy for delivery direct to the patient.
Fully integrated into MidexPRO with no additional cost to the prescriber, this one partnership is proving to be a great addition to the suite of features MidexPRO has to offer.
MidexPRO client, Kelly Goulding of Akeman Medical Practice said ‘We started to use the CloudRx tool, during Covid-19 when the consultants were doing more remote consultations via video link and when it came to sending prescriptions, several of them got lost in the mail due to the restrictions during that time. Our patients couldn’t get their medication as easily as they would like.
This partnership was a useful additional tool not only through Covid but to enable us to go paperless. The way it works is really good and means I can put the information into the system, consultants can check it or submit it electronically without the risk of losing a paper copy. I am informed when the medication has reached the patient and from a patient point of view, they can pay for medication and have their medication within 24 hours of ordering.’

In 2022, MidexPRO made a commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of the MidexPRO software when considering future enhancements to the MidexPRO software. Going paperless is one part of this commitment as part of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) accountability.
CloudRx works electronically, saving the need to print or prepare physical prescriptions. Their packaging is also, fully recyclable. CloudRx also uses DPD and Royal Mail to deliver the drugs to patients.
DPD has over 1500 all-electric vehicles delivering parcels. Their ‘25-25-25 Vision’ will see DPD deliveries using all Electric Vehicles to 18 cities by the end of 2022 and 25 cities by the end of 2023. The Royal Mail has also committed to reducing carbon emissions and is committed to having 5,500 electric vans by 2023. They are also trialling the use of Drones to deliver to remote locations.
This one partnership continues to help reduce the use of paper and will continue to help reduce the carbon footprint of patients, something we are very proud to be associated with.
